Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2

Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 Overview

The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is a professional multi-camera switcher made for creators who demand reliable performance and flexibility. It combines ISO recording, live streaming, and broadcast-level control into a single, compact design. Ideal for content creators, studios, and live event producers, it helps you deliver engaging, polished video productions with ease.

Comprehensive Input and Recording Capabilities
The switcher includes eight HDMI inputs that automatically adjust frame rate and resolution for seamless integration with different sources. You can connect cameras, computers, or consoles, and the system ensures smooth switching without delay. Each input records as a separate MP4 file, and the program feed records simultaneously.

In addition, the unit automatically creates a DaVinci Resolve project file, letting you reopen your entire production instantly for editing. This speeds up post-production and helps you refine cuts, adjust colors, or remix audio right after your live event.

Streaming and Output Flexibility
The ATEM Mini Extreme G2 offers dual Ethernet ports for direct streaming to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch. You can also connect via USB-C and use it as a webcam source for Zoom, Teams, or OBS. These options provide flexibility, whether you’re streaming online or recording for later playback.

You can assign three HDMI outputs for different purposes, such as multiview, program, or preview. The multiview feature displays up to 16 sources at once, making it easier to monitor your production workflow.

Control Interface and Video Effects
The switcher’s control surface uses large, illuminated buttons and a precision fader for smooth transitions. Built-in effects include mix, dip, and DVE transitions, which add a professional touch to any live production. You can apply chroma keys for green screen effects or picture-in-picture layers for dynamic layouts.

Because of the intuitive layout, users can quickly adjust inputs or trigger macros during live sessions. This saves time and reduces setup errors during complex productions.

Audio Mixing and Workflow Integration
The built-in Fairlight audio mixer gives you full control over each HDMI and XLR input. You can balance voices, background music, or ambient sound directly from the panel. The ATEM Mini Extreme G2 also supports external microphones, line-level instruments, and music players.

With Thunderbolt and a CFexpress slot, you can capture high-speed data or use DaVinci Resolve for live replay. The device easily connects with other Blackmagic hardware, including studio cameras and control panels, for more advanced broadcast setups.

Professional Versatility and Use Cases
Whether used in a home studio, live concert, or corporate event, the ATEM Mini Extreme G2 provides dependable, professional-grade output. It handles fast transitions, supports creative effects, and maintains consistent quality under demanding conditions.

Summary
In conclusion, the ATEM Mini Extreme G2 combines ISO recording, powerful streaming, and intuitive operation in a portable format. It delivers the reliability, flexibility, and visual control professionals need to produce stunning live content efficiently.
