Description

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a 4/3″ sensor that captures DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) video at up to 75 fps in Blackmagic Raw and ProRes 422. The 6.6 update adds 80 fps in 2.8K raw (4:3 anamorphic), 75 fps in 4K raw (2.4:1 widescreen), and 120 fps in 2.6K raw for Super16 lenses or cropped Full HD. It also introduces de-squeeze preview options, Pocket Battery Grip support, a built-in horizon level, customizable frame guides, USB PTP control, pinch-to-zoom focus checking, and the ability to embed custom LUTs in Blackmagic Raw metadata, enhancing usability and creative flexibility.

Versatile Lens Compatibility and High Dynamic Range

The active Micro Four Thirds lens mount supports lightweight, electronically controlled MFT lenses and can be adapted for PL, C, and EF-mount lenses with separately available adapters. A dual-native ISO of up to 25,600 enhances low-light performance, while 13 stops of dynamic range provide rich HDR imaging, preserving detail in both highlights and shadows.

The active Micro Four Thirds mount supports lightweight, electronically controlled MFT lenses and can be adapted for PL, C, and EF-mount lenses using separately available adapters, offering greater flexibility in lens selection.

4/3″ Image Sensor & Dual Native ISO

The 4/3″ sensor delivers up to DCI 4K resolution with 13 stops of dynamic range, while a dual native ISO of up to 25,600 ensures excellent low-light performance and rich image quality.

Anamorphic & High-Resolution Capture

The camera supports Blackmagic Raw 4:3 2.8K anamorphic recording with 2x and 1.33x de-squeeze preview functions. It offers multiple shooting resolutions, including DCI 4K (4096 x 2160), 4K 2.4:1 (4096 x 1712), Ultra HD 4K (3840 x 2160), Super16 2.6K (2688 x 1512), and Full HD (1920 x 1080). Users can create custom aspect ratios or choose from preset guides like 1:1 and 4:5. Recording options include Blackmagic Raw and ProRes 422, allowing flexibility based on project needs.

5″ Touchscreen Display & HDMI Output

The large 5″ touchscreen display minimizes the need for an external monitor, providing a clear and intuitive interface for framing and settings adjustments. A full-sized HDMI port allows output to a larger external display for enhanced monitoring and collaboration.

Flexible Storage Options

Record internally using CFast 2.0 or SD/UHS-II card slots, or extend recording times by capturing footage directly to an external drive via USB Type-C for seamless workflow integration.

Multiple Power Sources

Power the camera using a rechargeable Canon LP-E6 battery, the optional Pocket Battery Grip for extended shooting, or the included power supply for continuous operation.

DaVinci Resolve Studio Included

An activation key for DaVinci Resolve Studio is included with the camera, providing access to advanced editing, color correction, and post-production tools.
