Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor

Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor is a high-brightness 5″ LCD touchscreen designed specifically for the PYXIS camera, functioning as both an external display and a full camera control interface. With multiple mounting points, it can be used as a large viewfinder directly on the camera or mounted on a rig for improved focusing and framing. The touchscreen provides intuitive access to all camera settings, and a clip-on sunshade is included to enhance visibility in bright environments.

Constructed from durable machined metal, the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor is designed for professional use and complements both the Blackmagic PYXIS and URSA Cine cameras. This 5″ LCD touchscreen features 1500 cd/m² brightness for clear visibility in bright environments, and a removable sunshade provides additional glare reduction. A built-in tally light is visible from a distance, and three customizable buttons offer quick tactile access to key tools like zebra, focus assist, and false color.

The monitor connects to the camera via a single USB-C cable that transmits video, power, and camera control. Locking screws at each end secure the connection. Users can control all camera functions directly from the HDR touchscreen, including access to settings, metadata, digital slate information, and menu navigation. Support for custom 3D LUTs allows for use in advanced workflows.

For mounting flexibility, the monitor features standard 1/4″-20 threads and integrates smoothly with Blackmagic PYXIS accessories, such as cages and rail systems. The USB-C connection also supports off-camera mounting on cranes or gimbals, enabling continued monitoring and control even when the camera is out of reach.
