Description

Hybrid Wide-Angle Prime Built for Cinema and Stills

Designed with high-end video production and professional photography in mind, the Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM brings the legacy of Canon’s L-series craftsmanship into a truly hybrid prime lens. With features tailored for both motion and still capture, this wide-angle lens delivers uncompromising performance in even the most demanding environments

Cinematic Control Meets Optical Precision

The ultra-bright f/1.4 aperture allows for exceptional low-light performance and stunning depth of field control, ideal for narrative filmmaking, documentaries, and creative portraiture. An 11-blade circular iris produces smooth, cinematic bokeh, while minimal focus breathing ensures stable, distraction-free focus transitions in video applications.

Designed with hybrid workflows in mind, the lens features a manual iris control ring—a first for Canon RF primes—allowing smooth aperture adjustments during shooting. The focus ring supports full-time manual override, giving videographers and photographers precise tactile control.

Next-Gen Autofocus

For seamless, silent, and fast autofocus, Canon has paired a Nano USM motor for floating focus with a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) driving the rear focus group. This dual-motor system offers rapid, near-silent operation, perfect for both handheld and rig-mounted setups.

L-Series Optical Excellence

The lens’s advanced optical design includes:

Two Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) elements to reduce chromatic aberration
Two Aspherical elements for edge-to-edge sharpness and reduced distortion
Air Sphere Coating (ASC) and Super Spectra Coating (SSC) for minimal flare and ghosting
Fluorine-coated front element to repel water, oil, and dust

Together, these technologies ensure crystal-clear image fidelity with accurate color rendering, even in backlit or high-contrast conditions.

Built for Professionals

Weather-sealed L-series construction for durability in harsh shooting environments
Minimal focus breathing for smooth, natural video focus transitions
Detachable rear gel filter holder for creative in-camera effects or ND filtration

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I ordered 2 Ipad Air M3 2025, I messaged them with a questions 3 hours BEFORE they opened (I'm in the East Coast) they surprised me by answering almost immediately and then following up with a call to address my question, then messaged me that it will be shipped out today and I got a free 2 day upgrade, that is service! I recommend them 100%, lets keep businesses like them open instead of going out and supporting giant box stores. Thank you all for your help!!!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice little camera shop, well worth going to, knowledgeable staff, willing let me find the right camera for my needs, their deals are on par with major players but with personal touch. If you’re in the market it is worth a stop. With aloha.
