DJI RS 3 Gimbal Stabilizer – Compact Power, Instant Control

The DJI RS 3 delivers pro‑level stabilization in a lightweight, sleek design. Weighing only 2.8 lb, it supports payloads up to 6.6 lb, so it can carry a Sony a7S III or Canon R5 with a 24‑70mm zoom lens without stress. With a larger full‑color OLED screen and a precision fine‑tuning knob, it becomes the ideal tool for filmmakers who want performance in a compact kit. B&H Photo Video+1

What Makes RS 3 Stand Out

• Quick Release Plates
Dual‑layer plates let you mount your camera fast. After swapping batteries or cards, you won’t need to read‑balance.

• Automated Axis Locks
Hold the power button when the gimbal’s off to auto‑unlock its three axes, expanding it in just about two seconds. Press once to lock and enter sleep mode, which makes transport and storage much easier.

• Wireless Shutter Control
It uses Bluetooth dual‑mode so the RS 3 can trigger photo/video with built‑in buttons. Once you pair it initially, later pairing happens automatically—no extra camera cable needed. Amazon

Integrated Controls & Modes

Slide the new gimbal mode switch to toggle among Pan Follow, Pan & Tilt Follow, and FPV modes. You can also set the FPV mode to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, depending on how you shoot. Meanwhile, a front dial gives quick access to zoom, focus, shutter, ISO, or aperture—so one‑hand operation becomes natural. B&H Photo Video+1

Stabilization & Smoothness

Thanks to the 3rd‑Generation RS stabilization algorithm, RS 3 improves stability by around 20% over the previous RSC 2 model. It handles low-angle and fast movement shots more reliably. When you enable SuperSmooth mode, it boosts motor torque to manage heavier or longer lens setups without sacrificing smooth motion. Amazon+1

Display, Monitoring & Battery

It features a full‑color 1.8‑inch OLED touchscreen with a bigger display than the RSC 2, making setting changes intuitive. It also supports the Ronin Image Transmitter, so you can get live HD feed (1080p30) on your smartphone up to 656 feet away with as low as 60 ms latency. Battery life lasts up to 12 hours, and fast‑PD charging gets you back to full in about 2.5 hours. You can even use it while it charges for uninterrupted shooting. B&H Photo Video+2DrDrone.ca+2
