FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Lens

FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Lens Overview:

Wide-Angle Performance

The 16mm Wide Lens is designed for photographers who want a compact lens with a broad field of view. With a focal length equivalent to 24mm in full-frame terms, it captures sweeping landscapes, city scenes, architecture, and travel moments with ease. Its lightweight design makes it comfortable to carry throughout the day. As a result, photographers can stay ready for creative opportunities wherever they go.

Compact Design for Everyday Use

FUJIFILM created this lens to balance portability and performance. The compact size pairs naturally with X Series mirrorless cameras, creating a lightweight system that is easy to handle. Therefore, it is an excellent option for travel photography, street photography, and daily shooting. In addition, the small form factor allows photographers to move comfortably without carrying bulky equipment.

Advanced Optical Construction

The lens features an optical design with 10 elements in 8 groups, including two aspherical elements. These specialized elements help reduce distortion and maintain sharp image quality across the frame. Colors appear natural and details remain clear from edge to edge. Furthermore, the Super EBC coating helps control flare and ghosting when shooting in bright lighting conditions. This combination supports reliable performance in a wide variety of environments.

Bright f/2.8 Aperture

The maximum f/2.8 aperture offers a useful balance between low-light capability and compact size. Photographers can work in changing lighting conditions while maintaining excellent image quality. In addition, the aperture allows for attractive background blur when photographing close subjects. Consequently, images gain a stronger sense of depth and visual impact.

Fast and Quiet Autofocus

An internal focusing system driven by a stepping motor provides quick and nearly silent autofocus performance. This design benefits both still photography and video recording. Focus adjustments remain smooth and responsive, helping users capture important moments with confidence. Pair this lens with a FUJIFILM X-T5 or another X Series camera for a highly portable imaging solution.

Weather-Resistant Reliability

The 16mm Wide Lens includes weather-resistant construction to help protect against dust and moisture. It is also designed to operate in temperatures as low as 14°F (-10°C). Therefore, photographers can continue shooting in challenging outdoor conditions. This durability makes the lens a dependable choice for travel, landscape, and outdoor photography.
