Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM Lens

Professional Ultra-Wide Zoom Performance

The Sony FE 16-35mm is a high-end ultra-wide zoom lens designed for professional photography and cinematic video production. It covers a flexible focal range that works well for landscapes, architecture, interiors, events, and creative wide-angle compositions. The constant F2.8 aperture provides consistent exposure across the zoom range while supporting strong low-light performance. As a result, creators can maintain full control over depth of field and exposure in changing environments.

G Master Optical Excellence

Sony engineered this lens as part of the G Master series to deliver exceptional resolution and contrast across the entire frame. The optical design uses advanced XA, ED, and aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration, distortion, and flare. In addition, Nano AR Coating II helps minimize reflections and ghosting in high-contrast lighting conditions. Therefore, the Sony FE 16-35mm produces sharp, clean images even at the widest focal lengths and challenging lighting setups.

Fast Autofocus and Video Performance

The lens uses dual XD linear motors for fast, precise, and quiet autofocus operation. It tracks moving subjects smoothly during continuous shooting and maintains stable focus during video recording. Furthermore, the autofocus system supports professional video workflows where silent and reliable focusing is essential. As a result, the Sony FE 16-35mm performs well for both still photography and cinematic production environments.

Compact Design and Professional Handling

Sony designed this lens to balance optical performance with portability. The relatively compact form factor improves handling on full-frame mirrorless camera bodies and supports handheld and gimbal-based shooting. In addition, dust and moisture resistance ensures reliable operation in outdoor and unpredictable environments. The lens also includes customizable controls such as a focus hold button and AF/MF switch for efficient workflow adjustments.

Versatile Wide-Angle Creative Tool

The Sony FE 16-35mm combines ultra-wide perspective, constant F2.8 brightness, and advanced G Master optics in a professional zoom lens. It performs exceptionally well for landscapes, architecture, interior photography, events, and cinematic video production. Photographers benefit from sharp detail and flexible framing options, while filmmakers gain smooth autofocus and stable handling. Overall, the Sony FE 16-35mm is a powerful wide-angle solution for creators who need consistent professional performance on Sony E-mount cameras.
