The Sony a6400 gives photographers and creators a compact camera with fast speed and reliable image quality. It uses a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and the BIONZ X image processor. Together, they create detailed images with natural color and low noise. In addition, the camera performs well in bright scenes and low-light environments. The lightweight body also makes travel and daily shooting easier.

You can capture action at up to 11 frames per second with autofocus and auto exposure tracking. As a result, the camera works well for sports, wildlife, pets, and moving subjects. The silent shutter mode also helps when you work in quiet locations. Furthermore, the camera records 14-bit RAW files for improved editing flexibility.

The Sony a6400 uses a powerful 4D FOCUS system with 425 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points. This system locks onto subjects quickly and tracks movement across most of the frame. In addition, Real-time Eye AF keeps portraits sharp by focusing directly on the eyes. The camera also supports Eye AF for animal photography.

For video projects, the camera records UHD 4K footage with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. Because of this process, video appears sharp and detailed with reduced moiré effects. The camera also supports S-Log2, S-Log3, and Hybrid Log-Gamma profiles for advanced color grading workflows. In addition, Full HD recording up to 120 fps creates smooth slow-motion video.

The rear touchscreen flips upward for selfies, vlogging, and creative shooting angles. Touch Focus and Touch Tracking controls also improve speed and ease of use. Meanwhile, the OLED electronic viewfinder gives a bright and clear view while shooting outdoors.

Compact Lens and Wireless Features

The included Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens keeps the camera system compact and easy to carry. Its retractable design saves space during storage and travel. In addition, the zoom range supports landscapes, portraits, travel photography, and daily content creation.

Optical SteadyShot image stabilization reduces blur during handheld shooting. The lens also uses extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements for improved sharpness and reduced distortion. As a result, photos and video maintain strong clarity across the zoom range.

Built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth allow quick wireless sharing with compatible mobile devices. You can also charge the camera through USB during travel or long recording sessions.
