Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for APS-C-format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, offering a 25.5-105mm equivalent focal length range. Ideal for everyday photography, its bright f/2.8 constant maximum aperture supports low-light shooting and provides better control over depth of field. The optical design incorporates aspherical and low dispersion elements to ensure sharp, accurate images with minimal aberrations. Tamron’s BBAR coating further enhances contrast and color fidelity by reducing flare and ghosting in backlit scenes.Adding to its versatility, the lens features built-in Vibration Compensation (VC) to minimize camera shake for sharper handheld shots and smoother video capture, especially in low-light environments. The RXD stepping motor delivers fast, quiet autofocus performance—ideal for both stills and video—and supports full-time manual focus for precise control. With a minimum focusing distance of just 7.5″, it also allows for close-up shooting. The moisture-resistant construction and fluorine-coated front element help protect against dust, moisture, and smudges, making it a reliable option in challenging shooting conditions.
