Optics

The Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 FE is a large-aperture, high-resolution prime lens that delivers exceptional edge-to-edge sharpness along with soft, natural bokeh. Designed for both photo and video applications, this robust yet lightweight lens caters to the needs of photographers and videographers alike. Featuring 4 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements and 3 aspherical elements, it achieves remarkable sharpness while minimizing sagittal coma flare, which can distort star shapes. The optical design effectively reduces ghosting and flare, making it ideal for capturing starry skies and long exposure night scenes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1730247418411{margin-top: 15px !important;border-top-width: 15px !important;padding-top: 15px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

In OFF mode, the stepless aperture allows for smooth depth-of-field transitions during video shooting. A built-in AF/MF switch enables quick switching between autofocus and manual focus modes. Custom Fn1 and Fn2 buttons provide rapid access to key functions on select Sony cameras.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1730247418411{margin-top: 15px !important;border-top-width: 15px !important;padding-top: 15px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The sophisticated LCD screen displays crucial shooting information, including object distance, Fn icons, and aperture settings. Constructed with an all-metal body and brass bayonet mount, this lens ensures a professional and reliable connection to Sony E-mount camera bodies. Its dust- and water-resistant design makes it suitable for challenging weather conditions. Additionally, a USB-C interface allows for easy firmware upgrades, and the lens is compatible with 77mm filters for convenient use with widely available landscape filters.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
