It has four cameras. On the front — tucked in the “Dynamic Island” — is a “TrueDepth” camera that in addition to supporting Face ID, has a f/1.9 aperture, takes 12 megapixel photos, and shoots 4K Dolby Vision video. The rear is equipped with a 4K capable “pro camera system” with a 48 megapixel “Fusion” camera (24 mm, f/1.78 aperture) that also supports 12 megapixel 2x Telephoto (52 mm, f/1.6 aperture) and separate 48 megapixel “Ultra Wide” (13 mm, f/2.2 aperture) and 12 megapixel 5x “Telephoto” (120 mm, f/2.8 aperture) capabilities.
The iPhone 16 Pro uses a “Titanium” case with flat sides and an aluminum “internal structural frame” and has a glass front and glass back. The front has a “Ceramic Shield” cover for durability and the back has an integrated “MagSafe” magnetic charging connection. It is splash, water, and dust-resistant to the IP68 standard (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). It has four subdued “Titanium” color options — (Beige-Gold) “Desert”, (Gray) Natural, White, and Black.
Internally, the iPhone 16 Pro is powered by a 4.0 GHz Apple A18 Pro processor with six cores — two performance cores and four efficiency cores — as well as a 6-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of flash storage. It also supports 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 with 2×2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, “second generation” Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, “Express Cards with power reserve” for compatible transit systems, Thread networking, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, a USB-C port (with support for USB 3), a new “Camera Control” button (as well as a hardware “Action” button), and support for Apple Intelligence AI features.
Apple estimates that the iPhone 16 Pro provides “up to” 85 hours of audio playback, 27 hours of video playback, and 22 hours of streamed video playback.
